Two new variations of The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe in 18K Gold
Blancpain was established in 1735 and its Fifty Fathoms collection, introduced almost 200 years later, in 1953, was able to set the standard for underwater timepieces and continues to evolve with modern aesthetics and advanced mechanics.
I take a look at two new versions of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe.
Aesthetics
The new Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe models stand out from the crowd with their exquisite 18K red gold construction. The deep blue sunray dials are the highlight, both adorned with white-lumed button hour markers, crisp inner date circles, and subtle red details.
Both models feature a full-gold bracelet, enhancing their opulent appeal to me, yet they seem that it ensures comfort with hand-finished satin-brushed links and a the patented flexible design. The domed sapphire bezel and sharp syringe hands contribute to make these models more special.
Movement
Both configurations are powered by advanced mechanical movements.
- The Quantième Complet Phases de Lune features a complete calendar complication.
- The Chronographe Flyback boasts the F385 movement, renowned for its flyback chronograph function and 50-hour power reserve.
Availability & Pricing
The golden Bathyscaphe models are now available for purchase at €60,500.
