The New Baltic HMS 002, Bicompax 002, And MR01 In Gold PVD

We have covered Baltic in our website before, it is a French micro-brand known for creating affordable yet highly stylish timepieces.

They have recently introduced three new models in its collection, including the Baltic MR01, Bicompax 002, and HMS 002.

Each featuring an elegant combination of black and gold tones and all priced well under €1,000, maintaining Baltic's ethos of offering high-quality watches at accessible prices.

Aesthetics

The three models showcase a classic black and gold aesthetic achieved through a Gold PVD coating on stainless steel cases. The MR01 has a 36mm case, the Bicompax 002 and HMS 002 both have a 38mm case.

Each watch boasts a glossy black dial, complemented by gold "Breguet" numerals and applied markers. The MR01 features a guilloché small seconds dial at 7 o'clock, while the Bicompax 002 and HMS 002 present a more streamlined look with their sector dials.

All three models come fitted with a black Italian Saffiano calf leather strap, enhancing the sophisticated appearance.

Movement

• The MR01 is powered by the Hangzhou CAL5000a micro-rotor movement, with 42-hour power reserve and an automatic winding mechanism.

• The HMS 002 utilises the Miyota 8315 movement, offering a 60-hour power reserve and a standard accuracy of -20/+40 seconds per day.

• The Bicompax 002 features the hand-wound Seagull ST1901 chronograph caliber, providing a 42-hour power reserve and a column wheel for smooth operation.

Availability & Pricing

These watches are set to become available in December 2023 and January 2024. The MR01 is priced at €545, HMS 002 at €385, and Bicompax 002 at €565, all prices being exclusive of taxes.
