Article: The Bovet Récital 12 is the brand's first bracelet watch in Titanium

The Bovet Récital 12 is the brand's first bracelet watch in Titanium

Bovet is one of the oldest watchmaking brands in Switzerland but it was reborn under Pascal Raffy’s leadership in the early 2000s. The brand is widely known for its holistic in-house approach to watchmaking, with a unique high level of vertical integration. Their designs are known to be formal yet the new Récital 12 marks a significant departure from their latest releases, introducing their first bracelet watch. The result is a watch that maintains the brand’s signature craftsmanship while offering a more casual and versatile design.

Aesthetics

The Récital 12 features a meticulously crafted full titanium bracelet with brushed and polished surfaces, highlighting Bovet’s signature V design.

I believe that I would need to wear it for a while to confirm that the bracelet design fits the dial but the overall aesthetic is pleasant to my eyes.

In their words, grade 5 titanium was chosen for its robustness, corrosion and scratch resistance, hypoallergenic properties, and lightweight comfort. The bracelet includes a folding buckle and a 3mm fine-adjustment system for each wrist. The 40mm case integrates the bracelet seamlessly, and the open-worked design shows a well-finished movement. The dial, available in dark blue, emerald green, or turquoise features the Bovet lotus flower motif with 12 petals, one for each of the hours. There are seven layers of lacquer to create the depth of the different color configurations.

Movement

It is powered by the hand-wound Bovet 13BMDR12C2 movement, comprising 227 components. It features an inverted construction, showcasing the balance wheel on the dial side which is not typical to see.

The architecture emphasises symmetry, with hours and minutes displayed at 3 o’clock and another three-pronged small-second indicator at 9 o’clock. The movement also includes a power reserve indicator for quickly checking impressive and uncommon 168 hours (7 days) autonomy. The watch exceptional finishing is evident in the circular Geneva stripes and blued screws.

Availability & Pricing

All configurations (colors) are priced at CHF 29,800 excluding taxes, which is approximately €30,800.
