Seiko Star Bar Series with Gradient Faces (ref SRPK75 & SRE014)

Seiko is expanding its portfolio with the introduction of two new models in the Presage Cocktail Time series: the Star Bar SRPK75 and SRE014. These models are unique in their inspiration, drawing directly from Japan's rich cocktail culture. This inspiration is particularly influenced by the iconic Star Bar in Tokyo's Ginza district and its award-winning bartender, Hisashi Kishi. Seiko's foray into cocktail-inspired timepieces is a testament to its commitment to integrating traditional Japanese artistry with modern horological design.

Aesthetics

The aesthetics of the new Seiko Presage Cocktail Time watches are deeply influenced by the colors and ambiance of Tokyo's sunsets. The men's model, dubbed the Purple Sunset (SRPK75), features a gradient dial that transitions from navy blue to various shades of purple, mimicking the evening sky. This model has a stainless steel case, Hardlex crystal, and a brown calfskin strap.

The women's model, Pinky Twilight (SRE014), presents a more petite form with a gold-plated stainless steel case and a gradient dial that fades from light pink to yellow. Both models boast unique horizontal band gradient effects, applied golden indices, and faceted hour markers, creating a sophisticated and artistic interpretation of Tokyo's twilight hours.

Movement

At the heart of these watches are Seiko's in-house automatic calibers, known for their precision and reliability. The Purple Sunset (SRPK75) is powered by the Seiko 4R35 caliber, featuring a 41-hour power reserve, central hours, minutes, seconds (with stop-seconds mechanism), and a date function at 3 o'clock.

The Pinky Twilight (SRE014) operates with the Seiko 2R05 caliber, also offering a 41-hour power reserve and similar functions to its counterpart.

Availability & Pricing

The new Seiko Presage Cocktail Time models will be available for purchase in February 2024. The Purple Sunset (SRPK75) is priced at €560, and the Pinky Twilight (SRE014) at €590. Both  are limited editions, with 9,000 pieces of the Purple Sunset and 5,000 pieces of the Pinky Twilight being produced.
