M.A.D.1S, the slimmer and affordable MB&F model
A new limited run M.A.D. 1 piece: More slim and different movement
M.A.D. Editions has introduced the M.A.D.1S, the latest version of their popular M.A.D.1 watch. This new model is sleeker, with a 20% reduction in thickness, now measuring 42mm in diameter and 15mm thick. It features a Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G101 movement, marking a shift from the previous Japanese movements.
The watch is designed to be read from the side, displaying hours on a rotating disc, with a simplified and refined aesthetic, including slimmer lugs.
Raffle, availability and price
While the M.A.D.1S is not a limited edition, only 1,500 units will be made available to the general public initially, with the opportunity to purchase determined by a raffle, which can be accesed here. This raffle will be running from August 27th to September 2nd, will be closely monitored to ensure fairness.
The watch is priced at CHF 2,900. Previous customers and suppliers of MB&F will have access to a version with purple accents, while the general public can obtain a version with ice-blue accents.
Fans of the brand, like myself, are excited about the new design, particularly its slimmer profile, making it more wearable than previous M.A.D. 1 models. Until I decide to go to the full-on MB&F models and their higher price bracket, this limited run will do for me!
There's also a hint of an upcoming M.A.D.2 model in the future but I cannot provide more details on this.
