Louis Erard Régulateur Gravé Noir: Beautiful "sector & regulator dial"

Founded in 1929, Louis Erard is known for its refined approach to classic design elements . He often brings back traditional aesthetics with a contemporary twist. Louis Erard frequently integrates sector dials (a style that was popular a century ago) that emphasize clarity and legibility in his collections.

This release, Le Régulateur Gravé Noir, combines the timeless sector dial design with the brand's hallmark regulator layout.

Aesthetics

The Louis Erard Régulateur Gravé Noir features a sleek 39mm polished stainless steel case offering 50 meters of water resistance. It’s topped with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, enhancing the clarity of the black dial.

Each element is meticulously engraved in rose gilt and the dial shows a unique logo-free dial that is complemented by a beige calf leather strap with same colour stitching..

Movement

The watch is powered by the Sellita SW266-1 élaboré-grade automatic movement, which showcases an openworked rotor with the Louis Erard logo in black lacquer. This movement operates provides a reasonable 38-hour power reserve.

Availability & Pricing

Now a permanent addition to Louis Erard's Noirmont Métiers d’Art collection, the Régulateur Gravé Noir is available for purchase at CHF 2,900 (excluding tax), approximately €2,730. Given recent prices that I have seen in the independent watchmaking scene, this one seems a very appealing proposal, value for money speaking.
