An unforgettable year for Swatch
This year marked a significant chapter in Swatch's journey with the continuation of the MoonSwatch saga, a phenomenon that began in 2022. Swatch and Omega, both part of the Swatch Group, joined forces to reimagine the iconic Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. Their creation, a bioceramic quartz chronograph with a Velcro strap quickly captured the hearts of enthusiasts and industry newcomers worldwide. Being affordable and versatile to wear, It's become a common sight, and we often spot one of these MoonSwatches on wrists everywhere, anytime.
MoonSwatch Sequels and final version
Throughout 2023, we've seen the MoonSwatch's sequel, the 'Mission to Moonshine Gold'. This series enhanced the watch with a Moonshine Gold-coated chronograph seconds hand. Every month since March has brought us a new edition, including the highly sought-after Neptune-based blue model in August.

Instagram post showcasing a collection of Moonshine MoonSwatches with one slot remaining.
Coinciding with the the year's last full moon, Swatch has revealed what is expected to be the final piece for the year. Embracing the holiday season and lunar theme, this latest edition maintains the original Mission to the Moon color scheme and introduces a snowflake motif on the chrono hand.
Availability & what´s next
It will be exclusively available on December 27 at select Swatch stores in various US locations, including Miami Beach, New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, San Diego, Los Angeles, San José, and Dallas.
We'll have to wait until 2024 for further updates. Year 2023 has seen Swatch Group's venture expand, evidenced by the Swatch and Blancpain collaboration with the 'Scuba Fifty'. It seems likely that we'll continue to see more MoonSwatch versions and other collaborations in the future.
