Arnold & Son introduces 2 timepieces: the Luna Magna and the Perpetual Moon.
Aesthetics
The Perpetual Moon and Luna Magna showcase exceptional craftsmanship and artistic design, celebrating the Year of the Dragon. Both models feature hand-sculpted dragons, symbolising imperial power and good fortune, and are available with black or blue alligator straps.- On one hand, the Perpetual Moon displays a 41.5mm polished red gold case with a large 29mm moon phase display. It is available with black or blue aventurine dials, each limited to eight pieces. The dial depicts a rose gold dragon in a nocturnal garden, with the aventurine glass evoking the night sky. Moreover, the moon is crafted from mother-of-pearl, with hand-painted constellations that glow in the dark.
- The Luna Magna below boasts a 44mm polished red gold case with a 12mm three-dimensional moon. It features an opal disc for time indication and a hand-sculpted red gold dragon on the dial.
This one is available in polished red gold with pietersite or black onyx moon, each limited to eight pieces.
Movement
- For the Perpetual Moon model, they have equipped it with a manual-winding A&S1512 calibre with a 90-hour power reserve. This movement features a precise moon phase complication, deviating only one day every 122 years.
- For the Luna Magna, the movement is a hand-wound A&S1021 calibre, also with a 90-hour power reserve. It is astronomically precise too, requiring adjustment only once every 122 years.
Availability & Pricing
The Perpetual Moon is priced at CHF 57,000 and the Luna Magna at CHF 79,600.
