Carl F. Bucherer launches a Grey Edition of the Heritage BiCompax Annual

Carl F. Bucherer has long been renowned for its blend of nostalgic aesthetics and contemporary craftsmanship. The Heritage BiCompax Annual, first released in 2019, epitomises this fusion, offering a watch that combines the old-school 1950s design with the modern functionality of a chronograph and an annual calendar. This unique combination, typically associated with brands like Patek Philippe, has helped the Heritage BiCompax Annual quickly ascend to best-seller status within Carl F. Bucherer's lineup.

Aesthetics

The latest edition of the Heritage BiCompax Annual retains its classic inspiration, drawing from the 1950s era designs that characterised early Carl F. Bucherer timepieces. This new version maintains the proportions that have made the model so appealing, now presented in an almost monochromatic scheme that underscores its refined aesthetic.

The watch features a 41mm steel case with brushed and polished finishes, sapphire crystals on both sides, and distinctive rectangular pushers. Its dial, now in silver opaline with rhodium-plated counters and blackened syringe hands, beautifully integrates a range of functions (including central hours and minutes display, small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute chronograph counter, and an annual calendar) without appearing cluttered. Enhancing its discreet look, the watch comes with both a light grey vegan nubuck strap and a retro-styled stainless steel bracelet, both featuring a quick exchange system.

Movement

At the heart of the Heritage BiCompax Annual is the Calibre CFB 1972, an automatic movement based on the ETA 2894 chronograph caliber, enhanced with an annual calendar module. This combination of features offers a practical experience with a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement's decoration and a dedicated rotor visible through the sapphire case back add a level of exclusivity to the watch's mechanical aspect.
