The Time-Eater II: Louis Erard works with Konstantin Chaykin
Brief context on Louis Erard collaborative spirit
Louis Erard, renowned for its collaborations with various designers, watchmakers, and artisans, has once again partnered with independent watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin to release a new adaptation of its classic Regulator model. This new creation is named the "Time Eater II – From Dusk to Dawn".
The brand's previous collaborations with Alain Silberstein, Vianney Halter, and Konstantin Chaykin were not only commercial hits but also significantly boosted its branding value. These partnerships transformed Louis Erard into a creative powerhouse, making it a favorite among insider watch enthusiasts. Previous collaborations have helped solidify the brand's credibility and appeal among collectors. A glance we have taken at Chrono24 reveals that all limited edition collaboration watches are currently trading above their original retail prices, a clear sign of the demand for these pieces.
Now Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin Return to their Time Eater Concept with a "Darker" Sequel.

Who is Konstantin Chaykin?
He is often referred to as the 'Watchmaking Magician" as he seamlessly blends exceptional watchmaking skills with the creativity of an artist. For several years, Konstantin Chaykin, a distinguished member of the AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants) with 94 patents credited to him, has been a prominent figure in the field.
Konstantin Chaykin is a personality in the independent watchmaking field.
Humor is a defining element in many of his models, with "The Joker" being a prime example. This particular model, with its distinctive eyes, has achieved iconic status in the realm of independent watchmaking.
Konstantin claims to have "visions" which he transforms into watches featuring monstrous faces, known as his Wristmons. These Wristmons can be quite intimidating and he has now pushed the envelope even further, going from humor to "terror".

Key Highlights of the New Collaboration for this watch:
-
Design Inspiration: The watch draws inspiration from the one-eyed Likho, a legendary monster creature from Slavic mythology symbolizing evil and misfortune. The design features a revolving blood-shot pupil that indicates the hours in a sub-dial at noon, while a red-framed sub-dial at 6 o’clock with a black star-shaped running seconds indicator represents time being devoured. A unique red hand spans the dial, reminiscent of a gnarled, menacing finger with horns at its end, indicating the minutes.
-
Variants: The watch is available in two sizes and finishes. One with a 42mm diameter polished steel case. The second one is a 39mm sandblasted steel case with black PVD treatment. The 39mm variant of the Time Eater II is distinctive due to this unique black PVD finish. The 42mm model, because of its larger size combined with a polished case and a lighter dial shade, will likely command more attention on the wrist for many. While the 39mm isn't exactly subtle, it possesses a sleekness that the 42mm version doesn't seem to look for.
-
Synergy: Konstantin Chaykin's playful and humorous approach aligns perfectly with Louis Erard's ethos. Given the success of their previous collaborations, there's little doubt that the new editions will sell out swiftly and soon grace the pages of the world's most prestigious watch auction catalogs.
-
Movement: Both watches feature the same Sellita SW266-1 caliber that drives all of Louis Erard’s regulators.
