This latest example of their collaboration merges traditional watchmaking with playful, artistic elements, resulting in a pieces that stands out in the market for its originality.

Aesthetics

The latest Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Smile Day watch features a 40mm titanium case with polished vertical sidebars and a conical-shaped crown topped with red lacquer. The bezel and lugs have a matte finish, enhancing the architecture of the case. The glossy steel-grey dial, named 'Stahlgrau,' is complemented by light blue oval hour markers.

Signature Silberstein elements include the Kandinski-inspired hands: a blue arrow for minutes, a yellow twisted hand for seconds, and a red triangle for hours. The day of the week is displayed as emoji faces in an oval aperture, adding a fun touch. The watch is paired with a grey nylon strap featuring a hook-and-loop fastener for versatility and easy adjustment.

Powering the Smile Day watch is the Sellita SW 220-1 élaboré-grade automatic movement. This reliable movement offers a 38-hour power reserve and features a bespoke black lacquered rotor. The movement underscores the blend of innovative design and mechanical excellence that characterizes this collaboration, ensuring that the watch is as functional as it is visually striking.
