Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Skeleton X Label Noir: Stealh Design and precise engineering

Maurice Lacroix and Label Noir have joined forces to create the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Skeleton X Label Noir. Maurice Lacroix is known for its market positioning, being a leader in the accessible luxury watch segment. They have collaborated with Label Noir, a Geneva-based customization atelier that has been operating since 2011. This collaboration is not their first; previously, they have worked together on a customised Maurice Lacroix Aikon. Their latest creation focuses heavily on black, as suggested by the name of the guest brand, Label Noir.

Aesthetics

The Masterpiece Skeleton X Label Noir showcases a sleek, modern design with a 43mm stainless steel case and a 13mm thickness. It features a sophisticated black and anthracite matte Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. The watch is further enhanced with sapphire crystals that have an Anti-Reflective (AR) treatment, ensuring clarity from all angles. Its skeletonized design offers a modern twist, highlighting a monochromatic aesthetic with contrasting white accents on the hour and minute hands, and a customised crown. We specifically like the subtle touch of the pitch-black small seconds hand at 9 o'clock.

Movement

At the heart of the watch is the manually wound calibre ML134, which provides a power reserve of 45 hours and is visible through the openworked design on the back. The movement is adorned with Grand Colimaçon and sand-blasted finishing on its bridges, along with polished edges. The openworked spring barrel reveals the mainspring in various states of tension, and the balance wheel oscillates gracefully adjacent to 12 o’clock. The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters and comes with an M-branded black nylon strap secured with a folding clasp.

Availability & Pricing

It is limited to only 288 pieces and is priced at €6,693.
