Omega has just opened its Planet Omega exhibition in New York City

The Planet Omega exhibition, held in New York City at the Chelsea Factory from November 9 to 19, 2023, offers a unique opportunity for watch enthusiasts to delve into Omega's rich heritage. The launch event, attended by Omega's President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann and Omega Ambassador Nicole Kidman, underscored the exhibition's significance in sharing Omega's story with the public. We believe the Planet Omega exhibition isa testament to the brand's achievements and its enduring influence in the watchmaking world.

This free, public exhibition showcases Omega's diverse world, including its history in space exploration, deep-sea ventures, and as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games and James Bond films. Visitors can see historic timepieces usually housed in Omega's Swiss museum, like the first waterproof Omega watch, the first Omega worn in space, and watches worn by famous individuals like Elvis Presley and John F. Kennedy.

The exhibition is divided into six themed sections: Sports and Olympic Games, Ocean, James Bond, Space, Friends, and Precision, each highlighting different facets of Omega's legacy. Rare artifacts on display include the prototype Ultra Deep watch that reached the Mariana Trench, an Olympic electronic starting pistol, and the titanium Seamaster worn by Daniel Craig in "No Time To Die."

The exhibition also offers a glimpse into the brand's precision technology, like the Spirate System, which ensures exceptional timekeeping accuracy.
