The G-Shock MR-G Shougeki-Maru is a special release marking the 40th anniversary of G-Shock. This watch design was inspired by a kabuto (samurai helmet) and displays a distintct hand-inscribed bezel. Aesthetics
The MR-G Shougeki-Maru is an analog watch with a titanium case and a white Dura Soft fluoro rubber strap.
Its design takes inspiration from the traditional samurai armor, especially the kabuto helmet. The watch features a hand-engraved bezel with a tiger motif, crafted by a skilled metalworking artisan. This intricate design, alongside the dark silver arc ion plating of the titanium case, resonates with the aesthetic of the samurai helmet. The bezel screw heads are adorned with rubies produced by Kyocera, adding to the watch's ornate appearance. The black dial includes a photovoltaic cell.
Movement
The MR-G Shougeki-Maru is equipped with a Casio quartz movement powered by solar energy. It features advanced functionalities such as dual time, solar charging, Multiband 6 radio control, stopwatch, LED light, day/date display, countdown timer, alarm, and smartphone link. These features are housed within a robust structure, ensuring the watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters.
