New M.A.D.1 Green Edition (Raffle link inside)

One of the most in-demand watches of the last two years is back.
Last week, MB&F announced the New M.A.D.1 Green Edition. While the previous edition was red, this new one is green as the MB&F team expands the collection. This is the third edition of the M.A.D.1 wristwatch that was first disclosed in June 2021.

For those than do´t know MB&F as a watch manufacturer, they have turned haute horology of the highest craftsmanship into futuristic, unconventional timepieces. Their M.A.D.Gallery is a ground-breaking concept that is half watch boutique, half art gallery.

MB&F stands for Maximilian Büsser & Friends. In 2005, Maximilian Büsser started this artistic concept on a mission: to assemble collectives of independent watchmaking professionals to develop radical watches and boy has he succeeded. These M.A.D. Editions were developed as many watch lovers could not afford their typical high-figure MB&F timepieces, including Maximilian Büsser’s own friends and family.

This collection started as a side project to thank supporters who played a major role in the brand's success. Coming from MB&F, whose timepieces range from about €60,000 to €500,000,  the price tag of the first edition of M.A.D.1 watches, back in 2021, approximately €2000 was a surprise and indeed, a great way of saying thanks. This very first edition was only available to family, friends, suppliers and people really close to the brand.  The M.A.D.1 Red was unveiled in March 2022, and with an approximate price of €3000, it was the first model available to the wide public.

Price and availability

MB&F make very exclusive timepieces as their team of engineers and watchmakers, create about 400 watches per year. For reference, each year Patek Philippe is estimated to produce around 60,000 watches
The stainless steel Green Edition watch of this article is limited to 1,500 pieces and this new M.A.D. 1 will be available via a raffle system, as the brand expects a very high interest that far exceeds supply.
