MB&F Unveils the HM8 Mark 2 Blue Edition Inspired by Supercars
MB&F (Maximilian Büsser and Friends), founded by Max Büsser in 2005 has consistently delivered innovative watches that often draw inspiration from science fiction and automotive design. One of Büsser’s childhood ambitions was to be a car designer, a dream that clearly influences many of MB&F's creations, including the newly released HM8 Mark 2 Blue Edition.
Aesthetics
The HM8 Mark 2 Blue Edition continues MB&F's tradition of automotive-inspired design, showcasing a sleek, supercar-like appearance. The case, constructed from lightweight grade 5 titanium, features blue metallized CarbonMacrolon panels that add a lustrous, durable finish akin to metallic car paint. This edition also includes a sporty white calfskin strap, enhancing its dynamic (and maybe a bit futuristic!) look. The watch's design is aerodynamically crafted, its case has a length of 47mm, a width of 41.5mm, and a maximum height of 19mm, providing substantial wrist presence while maintaining ergonomic comfort. Regardless of its size, it seems to offer ergonomic comfort. Whether it is easy to combine with the rest of your outift and accessories, that is a different story!
Movement
The HM8 Mark 2 is powered by a 3D horological engine developed in-house by MB&F, based on a Girard-Perregaux automatic base calibre. This movement is comprised of "just" 247 components and includes a striking 22k gold rotor visible through the sapphire crystal caseback with a power reserve of 42 hours.
Availability & Pricing
The MB&F HM8 Mark 2 in titanium and blue CarbonMacrolon is a limited edition release, capped at 33 pieces. It retails for CHF 68,000, $78,000 or €70,000, based on current exchange rates.
