Introducing the Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono 'Cycling Edition' at the Giro d'Italia
Tudor marked its involvement in the Giro d'Italia with a new special edition, the Pelagos FXD Chrono "Cycling Edition." To honor its team’s participation in this prestigious cycling event, Tudor has crafted a unique chronograph that blends the design features of its Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition with characteristics suitable for a cycling-themed chronograph.
Aesthetics
The Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono 'Cycling Edition' is crafted with a 43mm matte carbon case, making it lightweight and durable, suitable for the rigors of professional cycling. Its design features a fixed 60-minute bezel and a black dial with striking red accents, reflecting the colors of the Tudor Pro Cycling Team. The black single-piece fabric strap seems suitable for athletes, aimed to ensure comfort and security during physical activities. The watch has a specialised tachymeter scale on the rehaut, designed specifically for tracking cycling speeds, a unique adaptation from its predecessor models that were aimed to automotive racing speeds.
Movement
Inside the new watch lies the Tudor MT5813 caliber. This automatic movement, based on the Breitling B01, offers a substantial 70-hour power reserve. The movement is also COSC-certified. Designed to support hours, minutes, seconds, a 45-minute chronograph, and a date function, this movement is encased in a structure that provides.
