The Limited Edition Baltic Hermétique Glacier

Baltic is a relatively new but rapidly emerging brand in the watch industry, having made its debut in 2017. The brand distinguishes itself by drawing inspiration from the classic watch designs of the 1940s to 1960s. Despite its relatively short history, these guys have garnered a reputation for producing stylish, affordable, and high-quality machines that appeal to a wide audience. The Hermétique Glacier Limited Edition is the latest addition to their collection, building on the success of its predecessors with a blend of traditional aesthetics and modern functionality.

Aesthetics

 

The Hermétique Glacier Limited Edition is made of 316L stainless steel showcasing horizontally brushed sides and circular brushed lugs, complemented by a polished, stepped bezel. The steel case is water-resistant up to 150m, measures 37mm in diameter, and has a thickness of 10.8mm, including the double-domed sapphire crystal. The dial is available in black or white, with textures mimicking the intricate patterns of glaciers, enhancing its uniqueness. The dial boasts superb legibility with Super-Luminova BGW9 applied indices and numerals, and a railway minutes track that adds a sophisticated touch.

Movement 

At the heart of the Hermétique Glacier is the Miyota automatic calibre 9039 movement which features a 42-hour power reserve and a stop-second function. This demonstrates Baltic's commitment to integrating high-quality mechanical components into their affordable watches.

Availability & Pricing

The Hermétique Glacier series is limited to 200 units per dial color and will not be reproduced, making it a unique addition to any collection. The pricing for the watch varies depending on the strap or bracelet option chosen: the version with a rubber strap is priced at €600, while the one with a steel bracelet is €665, excluding taxes.
