History

The restaurant's significance dates back to 1912 with "La Bavaria," which was a favored gathering place for the elite, including members of the League of Nations. The decor has remained unaltered since 1942, and in 2012, the entire interior was listed as a heritage asset, embodying Geneva's history and culture.

Blending passion for horology and gastronomy

François-Paul Journe's influence brings a distinctive horological theme to the restaurant. Decorations include technical movement drawings, and tables named after notable watchmakers, further amplifying the establishment’s identity. The menus themselves nod to Journe’s watch models, while cutlery and details like the 17th-century "Giovanni Brugell Venetia" astronomical clock enrich the ambiance with a celebration of timekeeping.

He emphasises connections with local producers to source exceptional regional ingredients, highlighting sustainable practices and the freshest produce, meats, and citrus.
