Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Ultra: The Thinnest watch in the world
Bulgari is smashing all records with the Octo Finissimo Ultra watch. This time, it's claiming the title for the world's thinnest watch, surpassing Richard Mille's efforts from 2022 by a mere .05mm.It also secures the record for the thinnest chronometer-certified watch.
SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
Bulgari's Octo Finissimo Ultra is back, and it's thinner than ever. With a thickness of just 1.7mm, it beats the previous record holder (RM) by another .05mm. But here's the kicker: Bulgari has also certified it with COSC, making it not only the thinnest watch ever but also the thinnest chronometer-certified watch. That's two records in one!
Achieving records has been central to the Octo Finissimo line since its inception, propelling it to the top tier alongside brands like AP and Patek. Bulgari's relentless pursuit of excellence has led to records in various categories, including the thinnest tourbillon, minute repeater, self-winding watch, and more.
NEW OCTO FINISSIMO FEATURES
The Octo Finissimo Ultra boasts a titanium case and uses the caseback as the mainplate for the movement, made from tough tungsten carbide. Despite the added complexity of COSC certification, Bulgari maintains stability with the ultra-thin design. Surprisingly, the breakthrough in thinness comes from reworking the sapphire crystal, shaving off just a fraction of a millimeter.
Bulgari claims that setting the Octo Finissimo Ultra is now easier than ever with a dedicated case featuring a digital readout. In their words, the watch can be perfectly adjusted and wound with impeccable precision, giving the feel of having a personal watchmaker at home.
