Bremont Supermarine S302 GMT Diver - Second-Generation

Bremont is a British watchmaking brand known for their aviation-inspired timepieces. The Supermarine series, specifically tailored for divers, is a signature collection in the brand's portfolio. Over ten years ago, Bremont introduced the 43mm Supermarine S500, followed by the more compact 40mm S301 in 2017. In 2021, the S302 series was added, incorporating a practical GMT function to the existing range. Now, the Supermarine S302 is entering its second generation, showcasing a advanced functionalities and a distinct British flair. The 2023 S302 is being offered in a trio of versions, including a dark grey limited edition model.

Aesthetics

This 2nd generation Supermarine S302 retains its 40mm case with Bremont's signature Trip-Tick construction, adding a layer of sophistication with its scratch-resistant DLC-treated barrel. The visually appealing design features a blue and green bicolour aluminium, unidirectional 24-hour bezel, and a blue metal dial enhanced with white Super-LumiNova indices.

The watch exhibits a strong character with polished, nickel-plated hands and a standout GMT hand with a bright orange outline. The use of multiple layers of luminous material ensures legibility in low-light conditions, while the variety of strap options, including blue integrated rubber, vintage brown leather, and stainless steel bracelet, cater to different preferences.

Movement

The S302 is powered by Bremont's upgraded BE-932AV movement, based on the reliable ETA 2893-2. This chronometer-certified automatic movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour with an extended power reserve of 50 hours. With components like a Glucydur balance wheel, Anachron balance spring, and a Nivaflex mainspring, ensuring both precision and durability. Bremont's commitment to watchmaking excellence is evident in the movement's ability to maintain an accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day.

This new model is readily available for purchase through the brand's website and its pricing is competitive. The Blue/Green configuration retails for  €3,750 on a strap and €4,200 on a bracelet.
