Tudor 2024 releases: Unexpected and pleasant surprises
Tudor continues to enrich its highly acclaimed Black Bay 58 collection with notable additions that underscore the brand's commitment to versatility and heritage. Here’s a detailed look at the newest members of the Black Bay family:
Black Bay 58 GMT (ref.7939G1A0NRU) is the. globetrotter's Black Bay
Sporting a 39mm steel case, this version introduces a GMT function to the Black Bay 58 line. This GMT version maintains the collection´s signature aesthetic with a red/black (Burgundy) bezel, gilt accents, and a matte black dial,
Its specifications include a 200-meter water resistance and a choice between a steel bracelet or a rubber strap, both equipped with Tudor's T-Fit clasp for seamless adjustments.
Housed within is the METAS-certified Master Chronometer MT 5450-U which boasts a 65-hour power reserve.
This one will be retailing from April 2024 for slightly less on rubber than on steel.
Black Bay 58 in full yellow gold (ref.79018V)
Enhancing its gold offering, Tudor adds an 18-carat yellow gold bracelet to its Black Bay 58 in gold, previously introduced three years ago. This model features the same 39mm case size and is powered by the in-house caliber MT5400, known for its 70-hour power reserve.
This iteration shines in matte and satin finishes, complemented by a matte green dial and bezel, illuminating Tudor's luxurious side without compromising its adventurous spirit. Surely the addition of the gold bracelet will be now elevating this piece presence on any wrist.
Tudor Black Bay METAS (ref.7941A1A0NU): Monochrome, sleek and understated elegance
Tudor introduced the Black Bay in its 41mm format in 2012. Four years later, the ETA movement was replaced by Tudor’s Kenissi-manufactured movement. This year they have also introduced a monochrome version of the Black Bay, extending the aesthetic introduced with last year's Burgundy model. This iteration boasts a 41mm steel case, enhanced water resistance up to 200 meters, and an array of strap options including a five-link bracelet, an Oyster bracelet, and a rubber strap, all incorporating the convenient T-Fit clasp.
They have eliminated the gilt accents for a more refined, all-black look, the watch offers a fresh take on the Black Bay design language. It features a new, more pronounced bezel, echoing the Rolex Submariner's design cues, and a dial marked by the Master Chronometer certification. Powering the watch is the Manufacture Calibre MT5602-U, an automatic movement with a remarkable 70-hour power reserve and magnetic resistance.
Tudor's collections continues to grow, not just in numbers, but in the breadth and depth of its offerings, providing watch enthusiasts with a rich palette of styles and functionalities to choose from.
Tudor's larger lineup not only respects its heritage but pushes forward with material use, ensuring there's something for everyone while still benefiting from its older brother learnings.
