Rolex celebrates the heritage of the Vienna Philharmonic with an innovative Day-Date Dial Design
The Vienna Philharmonic, founded in 1842, is celebrated for its unique sound and artistic integrity. It is known for events like the New Year’s Concert and the Summer Night Concert at Schönbrunn Palace, drawing large global audiences.
Rolex celebrates this heritage and unveiled a unique Day-Date dial (presumably enamel) that features a cello design, marking the brand's inaugural watch dedicated to music.
The upcoming Day-Date's dial showcases a three-part cello illustration, each part rendered in different shades of green and outlined in gold. This combination of green and gold has proven successful for Rolex, which already offers three variations of green dials in its Day-Date collection: green ombré, olive green, and a green lacquer dial.
After the colourful, yet highly demanded, balloons' dials in the Oyster Perpetual collection, and the puzzle & emoji dials for the Day-Date, this one seems like a safe bet. Price has not been disclosed but this will surely be a very exclusive and limited run.
